Delete Your Account

Last updated:

How to delete your account and personal data for NguzoCRM, SiteWorks, DarSMS, DESA and Onfika and other apps developed by Nguzo Innovations, what we delete, what we must keep and for how long.

1. Delete your account in the app

  • Open the app and sign in.
  • Go to Profile (or Settings) and then Account.
  • Tap "Delete account" and confirm.

Your account is deactivated immediately and you will be signed out on all devices.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email hello@nguzo.co.tz with the subject "Account deletion request" and include:

  • Which app the account is for (NguzoCRM, SiteWorks, DarSMS, DESA or Onfika).
  • The email address or phone number registered to your account (please send the email from that address if you can).
  • Your organisation name, if your account was created by your employer.

We may ask you to confirm the request to protect your account from unauthorised deletion. We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted, and act on every verified request within 30 days.

You can also ask us to delete only some of your data (for example location history or photos) without deleting your account, using the same email address.

3. Data we delete

  • Your profile: name, email address, phone number, job title and profile photo.
  • Your login details and active sessions.
  • Device information and push notification tokens.
  • Location history linked to you.
  • Photos, files and other content stored only in your personal account.
  • Your app settings and preferences.
  • For DarSMS: your uploaded contact lists and message history.
  • For Onfika: your bookings history, once any upcoming appointment has passed or been cancelled (the business you booked with keeps its own record of past appointments).

This data is deleted from our live systems within 30 days of your request and removed from backups within 90 days.

4. Data we keep, and for how long

  • Invoices, payment and tax records: kept for at least 5 years, as required by Tanzanian tax law.
  • Security and server logs: kept for up to 12 months to protect our systems, then deleted.
  • Information needed for a legal claim or dispute: kept until the matter is resolved.

If your account was created by your organisation (for example as a NguzoCRM user, a SiteWorks technician, or a teacher or parent on a school's DESA account), the business records you created for it — such as customer records, job reports, student records and invoices — belong to that organisation and stay in its account. We remove or de-identify your personal details where the organisation agrees, and we will forward your request to its administrator.

5. Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it first in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings to avoid further charges.
